Egerton University's Electrical and Electronics Engineering Programme Undergoes Rigorous Review by Engineers Board of Kenya

In a concerted effort to ensure the quality and efficacy of educational programs, Egerton University hosted a pivotal meeting with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) to evaluate its BSc. Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme. Led by Vice Chancellor Prof Isaac Kibwage, the university welcomed EBK's Chair of the Registration Professional Development and Compliance Committee, Eng. Dr. Johnson Matu, for a comprehensive examination.

An Innovation by a student at the Faculty of Engineering

Following a week-long at the KIW, showcasing of this innovation under the mentorship and guidance of Eng. Prof. Japheth Onyando, Professor of Soil and Water Engineering.

“It was exciting to have an environmental start-up being recognized for the award. It shows how we are putting sustainability at the forefront. And shows people are recognizing our efforts in this space,” Said Joseph Nguthiru, 24, from Tetu Village, Tetu District within Nyeri County.

EESA MENTORSHIP EVENT

Egerton Engineering Students Association (EESA) organized a mentorship event presided over by the chairman of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) South Rift branch Eng. Charles Keter. In attendance were the Associate Dean Dr. Mutuli, EESA patron Dr. Alele, Mr Rasugu, Ms Manyasa among others.

Installation and Handing Over Ceremony of Conference and Online Equipment to the Faculty of Engineering by the World Wide Fund (WWF)

Centre for Integrated water and Basin Management (CIWAB) in collaboration with World Wide Fund (WWF) Kenya and other partners are currently implementing a project Catchment to Tap (C2T).

 Through this project World Wide Fund (WWF) has donated conference facilities for online meeting and training.

Conference on International Internship and Traineeship Opportunities .

 The Conference was organised by the Egerton Alumni Relations Office, the Directorate of International Linkages and Career Services and the Dean of Students Office. The external conference facilitators were Glorbit Access Link Limited (Kenya, Uganda & USA) and Bixter Training Limited (Denmark). Among the presenters at the Conference included Dr. Stephen Kinara (CEO Glorbit Access Link, USA), Emmanuel Majanga (Glorbit Access Link, Uganda) and Lily Kozyreva (Bixter Training Limited, Denmark).
