In collaboration with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) South Rift branch and the Geothermal Development Company (GDC), Egerton University Faculty of Engineering and Technology students celebrated International Women in Engineering Day with a series of impactful events. On June 20th, 2024, they visited Tonoik Girls High School and Nyandarua High School on June 21st, 2024. During these visits, they inspired and encouraged the girls to pursue careers in engineering. In addition to motivational talks, they also made significant contributions to the schools' resources. They planted trees donated by GDC, promoting environmental sustainability, and donated computers provided by the IEK South Rift branch, enhancing the schools' technological infrastructure.
